I just wanted to give a HUGE thanks to Shaun at AED, I brought my previous setup to him a few months ago and it was all wrong because I listened to the wrong people. He has helped me to get the right parts and set it up correctly. After all of the emails and advise for months and months the results of all of the hard work paid off today when she went on the dyno. If you want your Stang to go fast he's the one to have tune and build your car.

THANKS SHAUN!!!

Is there any UNHAPPY customers from AED???? [Big Grin] All I have to say is that you would be crazy going some where else other than AED!

Keep up the good work guys!

AED recently finished my Terminator, and they did such a great job I gave them my 98 to sort out. Anyhow, I just picked it up today- drives great and made pretty good power! I'm going to post some pics of my Terminator shortly, but in the mean time I also want to give Drew and Shawn two BIG thumbs up! What a great shop.

Matt

I highly doubt there is.... Just called Drew to get a quote for an engine build for my 05 and he also told me they were playing around with a new bypass for the 2.3 and if it works will put me over 700 on the Cobra. Keeping fingers crossed.

So would going to AED with a relatively stock car do anything for me? All I have done is a K&N, Bassani Catted X, and a SLP LM1 catback.

I would assume nothing much would come of it if it was to be tuned?

I just got my car done there. They really woke the car up. Quick question do they use a dynojet or is that a mustang dyno they use. I don't know what the difference is between the two.

Drew & shaun are by far the best in Cali if not across the Country! Top quaility work, customer services and a beautiful shop that doesnt make you cringe from how dirty and unorganized it is. Its spotless. You know they are taking care of your pride and joy !
Both Drew and Shaun have wrenched on my cars and i have nothing but good things to say about the guys!

AED [worship]

AED has a Dynocom dyno in Cameron Park. Their RPM pickup is a lot different than a dynojet and is supposed to be more accurate.

AED is badass, going to dyno the Fastback there.

Posted by Shabbyblue (Member # 9132) on :

What type of dyno do they have there? Is it a dyno jet or a Mustang Dyno. I know the Mustang Dynos read lower than the Dyno Jets, but they are more accurate.

Shawn got me 50 more RWTQ and 30 more RWHP with his tune over the previous tuner in my 2002 GT with bolt ons

If you're expecting them to repair your shit, it's not what they do. They take car owners who want to get their car to its limits. They do custom builds and tunes, I hear they just got a new 5.0 in the tens ALL motor..

More like "if you like to do things right the first time and not be a corner cutting cheap ass" go to them. If your car is a bucket then yea they won't touch it since they don't like dealing with cars that aren't taken care of. There is a valid reason for them no longer working on 5.0's, most people who own them do things the wrong way as in they want the most power out of the cheapest parts or opt to do work themselves when they obviously lack any skill to do so.

Very true, they charge you for everything they do as they should. The only difference between them and other places is being able to trust that they know what they are doing and perform quality work. After all if you want to only spend a little bit of money on your car bring it to somewhere that only has a little bit of talent.

Good way to put it, Drew's attention to detail on installs is where the money comes into play. Shaun is very similar but he applies it to his tuning.

Better get done before rainy season cause they won't tune if it's raining

For reals? It's not like the dyno is outside or something.

hahhahhahahaaha yeah i think your right, it is an inside dyno, man hahahaahhaahahh, what the hell are they tryin to pull, ahahahaaahahahah, no rainy season tuning with an inside dyno, hhahhaahhahahah, such greed with thier inside dyno!hahahahhahahahaah [Big Grin]

Wet tires = slip on the dyno for certain power cars plus their dyno leaves the ass end of the car out of the shop. Any kind of hard rain can get into the shop right onto the dyno area. You'll most likely just get rescheduled to another day that's not raining, not like we are in Seattle, there's a ton of breaks between storms out here to give you time to get tuned.

From what I've seen Shaun doesn't like his high hp customers to drive in the rain anyway, especially with Sekani just crashing his whipple cobra in the rain not that long ago.
