Finally, after cutting the firewall and making a new transmission tunnel i finally got my engine in the Fastback. Now the worry is if the valve covers will clear the hood and if the driverside header will clear the steering shaft.

Looks good Dana! After spending the amount of coin you have on this car, I am sure the header problem will be an easy fix with some custom headers. I know the guy that Drew used did a kick ass job.

yeah i did some work to the wheel well in the back. not really mini-tub though.
i am runing 315 nittos in the rear.

Can u take a pic of the rear wheel mod u did I would like to run a 315 also, how close is the tire to the rear frame rail? Did u have to cut it back that far? love the color on the car too. [patriot]

Hey everyone. I am at the fire academy in Sacramento and haven't been on in a while. I will take a pic of the trans tunnel and my wherelwell mod when I get home Saturday.
Thanks everyone for the compliments. I have a 6 inch cowl for it but its such a wide motor and I got the hood just to clear the carb so it might not fit around the valve covers. The valve cover cent on the driverside is going to be replaced with an oil cap and hopefully it will all clear. I'll keep you guys updated.
