I got lucky this time around "so far", our company it's doing better than ever, and I being enjoying all the good deals out there trying to spend as much as possible so I don't contribute to the mess we're in. I really wish you all the best of luck [patriot]

I keep busy with work. Being a liquor salesman, I do just fine no matter the economy. Thankfully, I don't feel the effects.

Actually one thing we are doing is less toy buying and more investing. Because where fortunes are lost fortunes are made. While I dont do the stock market. I have been investing in my home, investing in other properties. And now I am looking at a nice piece of land in Texas. This is a great time to invest if you are in a position to be blessed to do so.

I've been picking up a classic Mustang here and there. Also planning on buying a duplex but it has to be the right one. We've probably looked at 30+ and made an offer on 1 so far. There's a lot of junk out there... both cars and houses.

Best of luck to everyone. I know plenty of people who have been affected. We have had about 16 layoffs (out of 100+ people) at the office but only 2 from the sales desk and those guys couldn't sell bottled water to a guy lost in the desert. So far so good here.

My wired shit is five nines reliability.

99.999997% availability.

Charger is coming together nicely now that uncle sam is paid off, HO.

I, too, am lucky. The economy hasnt had any effect on me because the FAA hasnt been laid off since Reagan and people will always need to fly.

well since everyone is bragging I have 9 cars [Big Grin]

On a serious note, not working gives me time to work on all the projects. If this keeps up I'll just be buried in my garage for a few months, not that bad of a thing - plus it's starting to warm up; the same beers are about to taste better.

We are being hit now. We just went down to a 4 day work week, and begin thinning of the heard. Thank my arse, i am still a valuable enough person to keep my head off the chopping block.

I hope things pick up soon or its time to change career.

I transport cars right now. Doing great since all the people loosing there jobs, usually loose there cars. I pick them up from the Repo man and take them to the auction house. Just less cars going out to the dealerships, but I was talking to a few of the upper guys at the auction they said for the last few months there sales have stayed very level and almost going up a little.

I'm in the process of finding a new job! FUCK, I HATE WORK! I know I'm lucky to have a decent paying job right now, but if you're looking for a job, my ONLY advice to you is to do something that you'll enjoy or at least not hate! Each day is a drag for me...I HATE IT [Mad]

On the up side...I'm on a mission to find deals on things I wouldn't be able to buy in a good economy. Just bought my Cobra and just closed on a house last week! Now its time to find some dirt cheap furniture and appliances [Big Grin]
