Im just gonna blast it out there the way it is! Until black people dont hate white people for slavery it wont be a good idea for a black man to be president. I love the way people blame Bush and Republicans for all the trouble in this country. Bush can't single handedly do much, the government is set up this way to keep the power out of one person's hands.

The truth is that the Democrats control the Senate and they have a ton of power too. You say we need change, well were going to get it after the election no matter what and being good at debating wont make you a good president.

There are people that will vote for Obama just because of his skin color, just like some people will vote against him for it, just like some people will swing their vote from Democrat to Republican just because a woman is in line for VP.... no matter what its a stupid reason to vote.

I also like how people thinnk Bush is single reason why the economy is doing so bad. Also how they think he is responsible for the housing market. People(Liberals) need to look and see who put these orders in. What party wanted low income families to have homes and get subprime morgage loans. It was the "all mighty" Clinton administration that made all that happen. All the economy is doing is cleaning itself of it's virus(SHITY Loans) Obama will do similar things and kill us even more with more Government spending and more bureaucracy. He complains about Mccain's Tax code reform and cutting higher income taxes. Obama says we will loose so much money in income tax, but never says how much we are gona loose when 95% of the people are getting tax breaks. He says people and businesses that make over 250K are rich. Thats the biggest bullshit statement ever. When I ran my tile business I was grossing over 500k. I wasnt anywhere close to being rich. Most small business will be over 250K gross sales. And if they have to pay more taxes then they do now, you will see alot more of them going out of business then you see now. The rate is already at 35% and Mr. Bidin wants us to be more "patriotic" and pay more. Well I know that I would like to keep my money and do what I want with it, not give it to the government and let them waste it.

No matter what, any party running the country is going to have sides we don't like. I like the South Park take on the whole thing: you end up voting for a turd or a douche and nothing is going to change that. The usual government way to get rid of something they don't like is let it get so expensive people can't afford it, then its demand drops and they got their way. While the environment is an important issue I see us, the general public an easy target when it comes to the blame. Look at a jet taking off from Sac or SF airport and tell me the shit spewing out the ass of that thing isn't equal to every car on this site running with no cats for a whole month.... and thats just one plane! Still, its our cars causing all the problems. I'd love to see a 747 with a catalytic converter welded to the ass of each engine......

Plus side: good on gas, Obama for president and your I hate Bush bumper stickers will fit nicely on the bumper, that one chamber Flo with a turndown should still fit under the bumper.

Down side: car will only attract women with bush.... and arm hair, leg hair, facial hair, BO and a hemp purse. It can't "swang em" and surely wont "get hyphy", your high power stereo will most likely shut down with the drain of the electric motor under normal acceleration, your 20 inch Cobra's wont fit.

McCain has backing from all the major oil companies, and has received money from them for campaigning. He will continue what Bush is going......making fat oil tycoons richer, and us paying for it.

i'll start out by admitting that i don't vote because i don't take time out to follow politics(which is quite bad since i work for the state) but will one man really make that big of in impact on a country that is doing as poorly as ours is right now? Also i have noticed lately, not just on this site but everywhere that politics is being discussed by anyone but a politician, this obama/mccain thing is making people express somewhat racial thoughts and ideas that may never have been racist befor. it kinda seems like both guys have there ups and downs, but its going to take more than the next 4 or 8 years to make this a stable country again right?

I'll agree with you on the war, its BS were there and its a shitload of money wasted. One problem is if we just drop it and leave now then it could become a huge problem in the future. You can't roll in, tear out the government on a country then just walk away before they are up and running again. No matter how wrong it was to go in and take that place over it would be worse to just walk out. Anyone could go in and take over that country to do who knows what with.

I work for a landscaping company and just got promoted to flower planter! I worked for it! I started as the weed guy, then got promoted to mower pusher and now Ive worked my way to planter! If I keep up the hard work the boss says I may get a company truck, its an 88 F150 but hell I worked for it! I didnt pay anyone with my hard earned cash to get me promoted. If youre so educated, why are you handicapping yourself working for the union when promotions are awarded largely on the basis of seniority? my union is putting me through over 30k worth of schooling that a non-union worker would have to pay out of pocket.....i have more work then i could possibly want,with my dues taken out i make more than ANY non union worker with the same aqmount of time put in as i have. I have one of the best benefit packages you could imagine,and at this point my minimum i am going to make when my apprenticeship is done is 47hr with dues taken out............add that up son idc what they take out as long as im making whats in my contract i dont give a fuk what they do.....edit i know dave50 is gunna respond with a useless post,tough post or a post with information he made up in his head while on his nintendo in lincoln

Your right, anyone can invest in retirement and health program, but my union makes sure the company matches my retirement 4 percent, and after 15 years at my job i can retire with full free benefits for life.

I personally just can't support someone that's only been in the senate for 3 years, and a year of that he's been campaigning. Then, 90% of the things he had to vote on, he only voted PRESENT. Yeah, he's going to change alot. I also can't support that person as president or that person vice president candidate, as neither of them have any experience what-so-ever. Hell, the VP candidate said that he didn't think he was the right choice! Do you really want someone that doesn't want / think he is wrong for the job to be one heart beat away from running our country?

The other president/vice-president candidates, one has 30+ years in the senate, the vp has actually ran a major U.S. economy.

I just want to clear up one thing being said here that is a misconception. The housing market and the subprime crisis are not the causes of our current economic problems. We were in a recession long before that, starting in the year 2000. That's when I first got laid off due to economic slowdown, and it wasn't the last time, and things have been up and down ever since. The current recession has been in place for at least 4 years, even if people don't like to call it a recession.

Blame it on the republicans, or blame it on the democrats, but don't blame it all on the housing crisis.

People just started walking away. No money was comming back to the crooks who lent it. Everything just started to slow down. Throw in high gass prices due to the war and greed and there you have it...

We have gone to war with European nations that are a majority Catholic/Christian and have a mostly Caucasian population, just like the U.S So what would be the difference? Good post here. I really don't care the color or gender of the president. And I think beyond how the change they bring will affect me directly. But more along with how it will affect America as a whole. If someone looks to ban guns. My first response is not. "How dare them take away my rights!". It was a very generalized statement. I am not sure if you have traveled abroad. But I played overseas basketball and traveled abroad and I can tell you that, the image of the "white man" and his democracy is very skewed abroad. There was a few areas I played in that people were still thinking I could not drink from the same faucet..lol. But my hypothesis and idea is based on my interactions. You must have never left Sacramento, so I am not going to even oblige your statements about racism and its place in what era. But I will tell you this. Condoleeza's position and President Bush's position is 2 vastly different worlds. So you cannot compare those even a little bit.

And like I said this is not about race, but you cannot help but recognize it's monumental appearance. So it's like a catch 22. I am voting for him because I like his stance on things I believe will America. You are not capable of holding a valid and meaningful conversation on this matter and B. I highly doubt you are trying to do anything but cause controversy and throw insults. But that war was originally fought over secession and economics (cotton), not slavery. Pretty much the war had nothing to do with slavery until around 1863. While it was integral to the movement of freeing slaves it was not the sole purpose of the Civil War. While Lincoln will go down as the President who did so. It was also written that he lied for the most part and changed the tone of the war to get Blacks to enlist.

#4 vision care no previous employer had this.
#5 something you really need phscological help
#6 a pension plan for retirement. no previous employer had this.
#7 a 401 k program a few other employers had this but they all closed them when they realized it was costing them money. Previous employers matched up to 3%. This one is all me.

Other than that the union has done nothing for me. btw I have never been writen up so the union isn't saving my job either.

Yesterday a staff member from the Howard Stern show traveled to Harlem to ask potential voters who they were voting for and why.
The first gentleman he asked stated he was voting for Obama. The interviewer then asked if it had anything to do with his policies. The man stated yes he felt Obama's ideas would be great for the country. The interviewer then asked if it was Obama's anti stem-cell research platform or his finish the war we started stance. The man agreed on both cases stating that he too though we should finish the war, and he did not feel we should be doing stem cell research. The interviewer then asked if he thought Obama's choice of Sarah Palin as his Vice-President was a wise choice. The man stated yes she would be great. The interviewer then thanked the gentleman and moved on.
This happened on multiple occasions where the people who said they were voting for Obama, with McCain's platform and Vice-President.
Just some food for thought.....

i wouldn't expect it to get any better with obama or mccain, politicians are all the same. The Senate/house is controlled by the democratic party and they were talking about ending the war and not giving bush anymore money for the war and nothing has happened about that stuff, infact they've given him more money for the war.
Have any of you looked at the approved bailout yet? Its been setup so a lot of politician friends (lobbyists) get more help than anyone else.
