Don't forget to set your clocks to July 25-27th, for the almighty top dogs for there once a year visit to Infineon. Even if you don't like drag racing.....these things are insane. You have to "FEEL" them to beleive it. Damn I'm gettin pumped now

I like Saturdays for qualifying because you get to see a lot more cars. However this time I'm going Friday to watch em' go down the quarter into the evening for practice. The t.v. just doesn't do these things any justice.

It'll be 1000ft for the remainder of the season. They are supposed to reevaluate at that point to see if they are sticking with 1000ft or if they will implement safety changes to change it back to 1320ft.........

I wonder how much that affects the teams, crew chiefs, tunes, basically getting the car down the track?

What kinda #'s can we expect out of them?

Supposedly they'll experience less parts breakage.NHRA says most engine explosions and breakage occur in the last 1000 feet.
They were running upper 3's at the races last weekend,MPH's were a bit over 300.

3's.....that's crazy. I've heard from many sources it's not so much the acceleration but the deceleration thats really bad for the drivers. There eye balls come close to coming out of the sockets when the parachutes deploy. [worship]
