Bought it last week. Instead of driving 60 miles to work one way i now drive 20 miles one way, taking an old wagon trail along the American River. The Jeep is having some issues and gets shitty gas mileage thats why i'm not driving it along this road. i might have to do some engine work on the Jeep so right now its just going to chill.
Its a 96 Eddie Bauer Explorer, it needs a couple maintance work but runs awesome and drives awesome and i got it cheap [Smile] I filled it up 4 days ago and its still around 3/4 a tank [Smile] 4 days of driving the Mustang to work i would have filled it up on the 3rd day.

why? They're nice trucks.

my old one, a 96 xlt 2wd 4.0L v6 4dr I put 35k miles on and never had a problem, the seats were awesome, it was roomier than most small suv's, the rear a/c was great (miss it in my new suv, a chevy), and it consistantly got 20-22mpg every tank.

how mine looked the day I sold it, with ~110k miles.

btw Dana, if your center armrest cover up front is peeling, check ebay, I recovered mine with a kit I got from ebay for about $15, it was really easy to do and came out great, it was about 2 years old in the pics there so it held up fine, it's a pretty common thing.

Thanks Blind. Its not peeling yet, it was garaged its entire life, supposedly, so its in really good condition.

the same time it would take me to drive the 60 miles on the freeway. Its a fun drive, i see all kinds of animals cause its in the middle of no where and you drive over a cable suspension bridge that swings. i checked its safety rating and its only a 3 out of 100 so i get a little freaked driving over it but its fun.
