those were all sub "9.0" cars, $1000 buy in ladder race it has to be an 8 sec car, or faster [Eek!]

Dont get me wrong. I wasnt born yesterday and can tell that barracuda was mean. I am an old mopar guy myself so I am happy whether either car wins as I love them both, but a race is a race and playing catch up sucks as I am sure you know...gotta give the 5 point slow some props on that one.

Still wonder what motor/trans combo he has ...I could hear the turbo so that is a no brainer.

small cubes, GT42, and a powerglide make one sick street car. I always love catchin his videos. although I'm more partial to that red fox body he had with the 88mm. seems to be a very smart guy! I love how the get down in texas!

not sure you made the statement not me. your number 7000 somthing. The guy has a awsome fast car and I am sure glad he didn't crash it. It doesn't mean you have to go insulting most the people on the Forum just because the title said he almost ate it. If you watch the Video there was the posibility he could have crashed. He made a nice save.

Hey guys, I'm the owner of the yellow mustang. I just saw this thread so I apologize for the late reply (almost 3 months). Anyways, to answer some questions, no I did not blow a head gasket on this pass. I actually had a transmission line blow off. Tranny fluid + Hoosier tires = not good. It was a fun ride and thankfully I only bent the rim. Oh and to clear up some other stuff, Suga was caught snoozing on the line as you can tell by the flashlight being on when I left. Oh and no mopar was pulling on me until I was sideways [Big Grin]

Anyways thanks for having me. Hopefully I can make the trip to Cali one day to do some racing.

Yeah, its always fun when you go around a big block, big tire'd car with a parachute hanging off it! As for my combo, all it is a 347ci motor, trickflow high ports, powerglide with a neal chance converter, stock suspension in the rear, no mini-tub or tub, full interior including a backseat. I run 29x10 tires but I'm thinking about putting some M/T drag radials on for this year just to give them a try.

The way it blew smoke it didn't seem like tires, I was going to guess the head gasket.

I love turbos as that's what I have on mine. Mine is nothing compared to yours though.
