A green sticker means you can ride at OHV parks year round, like Carnegie or Prarie City. It basically means the bike has low emissions. Newer quads, trail bikes, and enduro's have green stickers. Any MX bike up till 2002 has a green sticker too. A red sticker means the bike is for competition and you can't ride it at some OHV parks during certain parts of the year. Any MX bike from 2003 up is a red sticker. What will you be riding? Trails or tracks?

Dude just buy the edruro like me then take off the lights, electric start, and throttle governer and viola!!!! A new green sticker bike. The gears are a lil bit taller. but for like riding at Pismo you'll pull top speed on the mx bikes. Anyways if you know how to ride it's not really all that different. I love it. 4 stroke torque rocks!!!!!!!!!!!

So, if I want an MX bike with a green sticker, I should look for an older one? There was an 01' YZ 250 with a green sticker. Once that thing expires, can it be renewed? I want to be aware of all of these restrictions before I get stuck with something that I may never really get to use because of such. I still have to research bikes and places to ride as I have only rode a few different bikes here and there and on the street!!! [Wink]

Yes, once the bike has a green sticker, it always has one. You won't get shafted later on when you try to renew.
