talked to my uncles friend and im going to take it to his shop this weekend so he can check it out, then in about a week or two and drop it off for its make over.
im going to strip out the interior so the door jams and other areas can get painted and perfect excuse to do a black interior conversion.
im going to have
a new rad support welded in
cowl panel fixed
roof fixed(hood flew up)
all dents and dings fixed
new 3in cowl hood
new front bumper
new headlights
new head lights and maybe tail lights( i might have them smoked by him, he sprays a tint spray on them)
im having the car painted sonic blue or a variation of it
then im going to get some black 18x9 hyper black saleens

this is what is going to looks like somewhat(to lazy and tired to photoshop my car)

also then the engine bay is going to be painted at a later time when i blow up the current engine so when the engine is out he is going to paint the engine bay and maybe another excuse to install a MM k member and coil overs [Big Grin]

that's a dangerous color because it is walking the fine line of crossing over to "Barney" purple.

Make sure the painter knows that you want it more on the blue side than the purple side.

If you want to eliminate 90% of your future potential buyers, if you ever decide to sell the car, paint it purple, lol.

im never going to sell the car, eventually im going to give it to my cousin for his first car when he turns 16 or wait till he turns 18 so i have 15 years to do what i want with it.

about the purple/blue color, my going to have it mixed with more blue, so its more blue than purple.

*UPDATE*
im dropping my car off on monday.
i need to pull most of the interior out(carpet,head liner, door panels,rear 1/4 panels) so the door jams can be painted.
my cowl hood,front bumper,header panel, lights,and rad support are going to be ordered on monday and should be in by weds.
the car should be done in about a week or two depends on how long he takes on the body work.

Ya one of the previous owners, not Mike, got in a accident and fixed it themselves and didn't report it to the insurance company. In that accident the core support got fucked up and the area the fenders attach to. Then I got in a accident and fucked up the front bumper and hood then s while ago the hood I got from untouchable 510 flew up on me because the hood wasn't completely latched(my fault for not checking it)and that fucked up the roof, cowl panel, hood hinge area. I have some old pics from a year and a half ago when I got it. I have to search around for them.

my friend with a 1999 GT 5 speed, with only bbk c.a.i., no mufflers, and i think he had a short throw and used drag radials with little meat left ran a 13.5( ill find out the mph.
but he had stock headers, stock h no underdrives, full interior with out the rear seat, a 12in sub woofer in the trunk. but was basicly stock and ran 13.5.

here are some pics, not much progress, my uncles friend is busy with a lot of paper work, the shop is gettin transfered over to his name this week.
we talked for a bit, the core support isnt going to get changed, when he took off the front bumper it isnt that bad, be is going to straigten out the bottom and smooth out some parts and paint it with the rest of the car.
the side moldings are going to be replaced with the 90+ side moldings that are the same color as the car.

my friend with a 1999 GT 5 speed, with only bbk c.a.i., no mufflers, and i think he had a short throw and used with little meat left ran a 13.5( ill find out the mph.
but he had stock headers, stock h no underdrives, full interior with out the rear seat, a 12in sub woofer in the trunk. but was basicly stock and ran 13.5.

i went to the shop on mon, wasnt any progress, just waiting for parts to come in. he needs to get another mustang out this week(he is a member here)
and he is going to start working on it next week, so i should have some more pics next weekend.
oh my beat up bumper(the dark blue one) he sent it out and had it fixed now it looks brand fuckin new!!! i couldnt believe it, only thing was that one of the employees accidently installed it on another fox that was there, but luckly i asked to see it and they found it on the other car that was about to get painted.

so maybe another 2-3 weeks.

good luck. shops are usually pretty poor about estimating when a car will be done especially if it was a "hookup"
3wks could easily turn out to be 6wks. cant wait to see the pics. im sure you're pretty anxious to see some significant progress on the car. when my 94 was getting painted i was at the bodyshop at least once a week and would see very little work being done so after awhile i just said the fuck with it, ill let em do their work and swing by when they're finally finished. it is nice to see the in progress work though.

today i bought a cervinis hood from team solo
it came off that wrecked vert that he bought back.
it has some 1 crack and the edges are kinda messed up but repairable.
bout it for $100 the body work is being done for free. so i just saved $400, i can use that now on the door moldings.

im starting to part together a black interior for my car.thanks to team solo i picked up a dash and some gauges that ill need, im gonna put some more coats of black and some clear on it before i install it and change the heater core, im gonna try and paint some of my hard platic parts and see how they come out.

well i went today to the shop to check out my car, no progress yet, he wanted to talk to me about what i want done and what is he going to do.
he had my front bumper sent out and sand blasted and now it looks like new, just needs some minor sanding , primer and paint.
im going to have a cobra grille installed/fiberglassed onto the bumper.
thanks to team solo my hood got dropped off on saturday, right when i was leaving, he was starting on fixing the hood.
i forgot to get the interior pieces that i mainly went there for.

Well here is a update on the car.
al the door moldings were taking off as well as the front and rear window molding, the 1/4 windows are coming out tomorrow as well the some of the interior. the body work is almost done should be done by tomorrow with the exception of the roof,cowl panel,hood, and core support which should be done by this weekend and should be prepped for paint by next week.doors and all the windows are going to be pulled off when its time to paint the car.

well went to the body shop today to see the car. shouldnt be to long before the car is getting painted. also today i started to take apart the interior.only thing left is the center console,carpet and dash.this coming weekend or following weekend me and eddie are going to pull the engine out, so the engine bay can be cleaned,degreased, smoothed out, and painted.

if funny how people keep bitching to me that the body shop is taking forever and i need to complain and all this shit, if you really knew me and the story behind the car you would think different. shit the car sits in my driveway and when i take it out there is a 50% chance that it breaks and ill take it home and when i get a chance ill work on it and slowly fix what broke.im in no hurry to get this car done, its basicly my project car and ill take my time with things, becuase if i start rushing throught things ill end up forgetting something that i wanted to do. so its a work in progress, shit the car will prob sit in my garage for a couple more months when i get it back so i can slowly get parts for it.

well yeah the engine is out of the car, monday ill be going to the shop and marking which holes need to be welded shut and which need to be left along. and begin take the wiring out and begin hiding the wiring.here are some pics from yesterday.there still is dome body work that needs to be done on the front end, but on the most part the body work is almost done, just the front clip and engine bay is left.

here is eddie510 or what ever his sn is now, this was after we pulled the engine out and we were chillen at his house and he took a "NAP" and it took me and his girlfriend 2 hours of messing with him to wake him up.
i tried coloring his ear but i was laughing to hard to color it.

well i started to clean up the engine bay yesterday got most of the harness out and began somewhat cleaning the engine bay( 19 year old caked on grease and oil is a bitch to get off) going back today to take the passenger and driver side harness out and start laying them out how they are going to be routed in the fenders so its easier when it comes time to do that. working on the car today relaxed me alot since i havent worked on it since we took the engine out and before that it was months.

this was from last tues. i took out the passenger side harness out,took the masyter cylinder out,brake booster is next and the dash is almost out(had to leave becuase i had to get ready for work)
