so i'm back visiting the family here in f.c. and i got a phone call this morning from the cop in charge of the "investigation" and he told me that the Union City pd has my car in their lot, and i need to pick it up in a couple of hours after they "dust for prints".
i don't know how bad it is, but i'm expecting the worst.
i'll post up again once i get some pics of it and then you guys can give me some ideas on what to do with it. if it's too fucked up, i might just give it away, but i'd like to keep it and start over if it's not a total loss.
anyway, just had to share.

that was a really good looking car, hopefully its not to bad, i think you should defiantley keep it. i will keep my fingers croossed and hope its not to bad. everytime i saw a car like it or someone was selling parts i thought it could be from that car.

lol, i thought about that after i talked to him, so i called the station and talked to the desk lady and since it's foster city and they don't have many stolen car recoveries, she knew who i was, where my car was, and all the info, so i'm going to pick up the release in a little bit.

well guys, i just got back from union city and shes been completely stripped. i mean they even took the dashboard vents. so far, the only things they didn't take that can be taken out is the 3.73 5 lug rear end with drum brakes, the front 5-lug rotors, the sunvisors, the full dashboard minus the vents, and the 190 lb fuel pump hiding in the trunk.

EVERYTHING else was taken. i have some crappy pics from my camera phone, but i'm on a mac out here and i can't put them up on photobucket, so if someone can put them up for me, that'd be cool.

i think i'm gonna give it away. as of now i don't have any room for a third car or the finances to rebuild her. plus it would take way to much to get her roadworthy again, plus, i have no clue what the morons who stripped her did, there might be messed up wiring and other shit just waiting for me.

thanks guys, i haven't found anyonw to tow it just yet and i'd rather tow it to whoever will take it before i tow it to my moms house.
i'm not in any position to keep this car i'm sad to say. i'd love to hold onto her for a couple years until i can start restoring her, but it won't be worth it between everything that they took and the storage factor.

i figure the read end with the 5lug and the gears must be worth at least $100.....so any takers??

I'd get rid of it just because it looks like theres nothing. Its just the body, it would cost a lot to get it back to driving condition BUT if you were to make it into a racecar only then you wouldn't need the top, motors, backseat, passenger seat, rug even [Eek!] It would be a cool little dragcar, put a full cage in it drop a 460big block with a 871 blower pumping out 1600HP haha.

I am going to get a 428FE motor built and i want it to have 600HP on pump gas. I heard the TKO tranny will work with this but i want to keep it all FORD so i need to find a good tranny to connect up to it.

Sorry about your loss. I still have spare some parts from one of my stangs that will help restore your car. I'm sure other people on cafords will donate parts to restore your vert. I'd be interested in acquiring your car, my girlfriend's little brother is graduating high school this year and I'm sure he would be delighted to get a car such as yours even though it may take us some time to put it together, but I can assure you that the car would not be sold for a profit. 94, Drew was going to give it away. Then Drew wanted something for it, say $100. I OFFERED $150, which was $50 MORE than he asked for, FOR NO REASON. I have a friend who could use a clean body for a race buildup, I could use the interior and rear end for my convertable etc.

94, Drew was going to give it away. Then Drew wanted something for it, say $100. I OFFERED $150, which was $50 MORE than he asked for, FOR NO REASON. I have a friend who could use a clean body for a race buildup, I could use the interior and rear end for my convertable etc.

I TOLD DREW STRAIGHT UP WHAT I'D BE USING IT FOR OVER PM'S. I could have said I'd build it up and get it on the road, AND I COULD HAVE HAD IT NO PROBLEM, THEN STRIPPED THE HELL OUT OF IT. I didn't do that, no reason to.

94, YOU MAKE STUPID "BULLSHIT" offers ALL THE TIME than you have no intention of backing up. I just call you on them. Your "offer" to me for my car a while back was BS, this offer of $500 is BS. You have NO intention to pay $500 for that car, NONE.

I think you are just upset because I pointed something out. You always call people stupid for little things that dont matter, yet if you get called on something you freak out and call that person names.

I contacted Drew via PM's too and made the offer, he told me that he was leaving soon and it might be sold before then. Also, I told him that I would have to see if my roomates would be cool with me having another car there... as it sits, we have 8 cars out front, and that would have been my 3rd.

So, calm down, stop worrying about other people and my finances... I -can- afford it, so dont worry about me. Go e-thug someone else who gives a crap. I dont have to prove a damned thing to you.
