Yup almost there.

For the San Joaquin S/O

Really pumped about this. Since it's the position I have really been wanting.

Any pointers from the few that have gone through with this?

I understand it's a one on one interview to see what he thinks before offering you a job.

Then you still have to pass your Med and Phsyc Test.

when I went in for my captain's interview he reviewed my background file and questioned several things in it. He asked what my goals were with the department. He kinda coached me on what not to be doing as a rookie personal and work related. At the end got my conditional job offer provided I passed psych. and medical.

Good stuff hope you get the job offer. [Big Grin]

Tell the truth and preserve your integrity. Lying is the worst thing you could ever do because it will always catch up to you.
Good Luck

Tell the Cap that you LOVE to work in the jail and you were the top Keymaster/shackle distributor in your academy class!....j/k good luck bro you know what you have to say. Everyone that went through it has the same scripted lines.... community, helping others....blah blah blah...it goes out the window in the 1st civil suit...but seriously good job on gettin' there and goodluck on the interview...

Usually those one on one's are the 2 - 2.5 hour questions & reviews from your Personal History Statement.....might also include fingerprinting, & mugshot.

Be honest & Good Luck.
