ok, if you had this sitting in your garage, and all you had to do was decide an engine/trans combo what would you pick and why??

i want it to be just a classic style muscle car, probly put some torq thrust d's on it and drive the piss out of it.
im still up in the air about the motor and trans, but anything is an option right now since i just got rid of the stupid straight six and 3spd stick.

if you listen close you can hear the car saying " big block" [burnout]

A mild 5.0 with fuel injection and a 5-speed = reliable so you can "drive the piss out of it."

a 347 stroker/ t-5 combo should make you happy. You can also consider a 351 windsor or cleveland since you can fit it no prob.

stroker winsor with a 3.3L Whipple.. Mild running, massive power

LOL actualy I do have one sitting in my garage. I took a 428 out and a dart block 410 and a Procharger with a efi set up are in the process of going in.....Big blocks are bitchen(and expensive) but two much speed stuff is out there for a 351 not to do it. BTW 6 cyl cars didn't come with big block springs in the front or 9 inch rear ends. You might have the stuff already if not start looking for them. A 9 inch out of a 57 to 59 ford will bolt right in and is 1 inch narrower on each side. or a Lincoln Versallis(not sure on spelling.) with rear disc is a nice set up.

I'm thinking a stroked Windsor and an S-trim with 10+#s on there!

I got a machined 351w block sitting in my garage. [Wink]
