ok, ne1 know how to get data from a tivo to your c drive? or burn on the fly or anything?
i haven't even looked at my dvr yet, but i'm pretty sure there is a usb port on it.
anyone done this ? i have some stuff i'd like to burn so i don't have to have so much stored on my dvr

if you have a series 2 tivo like I do its pretty simple, get a compatible USB wifi adapter that plugs into the back of it.
that sync's it up with my wireless network in my house, then on the computer you load tivo desktop software from tivo's website, and it allows you to snag anything off your tivo that is saved.
use nero to burn the files as video cd's or dvd's and you're all set.
read thru tivo.com or whoever makes your DVR's website and they will have a step-by-step process to burn them.

i downloaded "dvd decrypter" and "dvd shrink"
both free downloads, and work great.
decrypts encoded and protected stuff.
i just googled the software names
