I just found out some sad news today. I just got off the phone with Miles brother today and said that Miles was in a very serious motorcycle accident in the Sacramento area. Two people were on the scene and found out at 1:15pm on Sunday that Miles passed away. No details were released but I know how much Miles has affected most of our lives and what everyone to take a moment of silence for him and his family. Miles was 22 yrs old, 23 next week, and had a wonderful life expect for him. Hard to see him go...Still shocked that this has happened...

If anyone has any questions, please PM me directly.

Miles> You will never be forgotten! Rest In Peace my friend...

Miles-

Man...you've been a good guy to so many on the board. I have heard great things about your personality and loyalty towards others. You've joked with the best and helped out the rest. As a motorcycle rider man, this hits home. I know your better off now in the place above us all...but that's rough man. Some people are "ride or die"...like myself....but we never expect to leave this earth this early man. You've touched so many and we will remember you man. Look after us, and keep all of us...and a careful eyes on us two wheel guys...safe and careful brother. You will not be forgotten and your spirt will live on.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Miles and his family.

RIP MILES. WE LOVE YOU MAN.

Jack

this is sad to hear, what happened to all of his old posts, did they disappear? i was looking for the one that he did this morning/last night, saying how fast his cobra went, i thought he mentioned going to the track to day as well...what changed his mind??? i to have been in a pretty horific motorcycle accident on the freeway, and i am lucky enough to still be here now, i have since not riode a motorcycle and i dont think i will, no matter how careful you are someone is always on there cell phone or in a hurry and your life to them is irrelavent. My prayers go out to his family and friends, and anyone else on a bike be careful...

That is horrible news. I've always respected Miles' opinion and you could tell from his posts that he was a great guy, always willing to lend a hand.

I know it's early, but a cruise or track day in his memory might be a nice thing. His goal was always to get that car into the 11's. If it's cool with his family it might be nice to have Brian or Drew get him that 11 second slip in his Cobra. We know Miles loved his car, and I'm sure he'd love to see something like this happen.

Holy crap!!!! This really sucks. I've known Miles for a few years now and he was a really cool guy. Always willing to give a hand. He helped with working on cars, I bought parts from him, hung out with him at work, went snowboarding with him, etc., now no more [Frown] . Last time I saw him was when he took me for a ride in his Cobra at the show in Pleasant Hill. It's hard to realize that we won't see him anymore. You will be missed Miles, rest in peace.

[Eek!] This is a complete shock to myself, and everybody here. I never got the chance to meet miles, but I was always envious of his cobra. He showed a true passion for cars, and always had a positive thing to say. I can't remember one bad post or bad thing that he's said. This is just completely shocking. My thoughts go out to his family and close friends for their safety and feelings. I wish them all the best.

Miles had great friends and people who cared for him. I can see this in all the previous posts. This jus shows how precious the human life really is and everyone should realize that someone we talk to today may not be around tomorrow...it's sad but true. Lets all be and stay good friends and show miles that we care for him still as well as everyone else we come in contact with.

You are always with us Miles

Yeah, he had an old Cougar that he fabricated his own twin turbo setup for. Sounded pretty cool and ran well. I think he sold it to his brother.

This is a very sad day... I have only met him once and he was one of the nicest guys ever. when me and my friend were drooling over his car he just humored us and didn't even laugh or make any comments about stupid girls. It is also ironic because I never ride on bikes and a friend of mine just convinced me to go on a ride with him tomorrow. This just reconfirms that bikes are not safe no matter how experienced you are. there is always someone out there who is in a hurry or just not paying attention.

R.I.P. Miles.....

Man....I have the absolute biggist lump in my throat right now. I can't believe this happened. Miles was one of the coolest guys you could ever meet. He was so kind, and warm hearted its sad to see him go so tragicly. He became good friends with me, when I found out he lived in my apartment complex. I would talk with him at every event, and even when he came out to my club's street races. He was always enthusiastic about things he did. Was creative in parts he made himself. And had a wonderful future ahead of him. Miles was a tech for Mercedes, who had a large knowledge of cars. He was always willing to show people what the cobra could do. Me and Autumn (qwkbtch) remember the night he took her for a ride down 580 to tracy, damn that car flew by me so fast, it was unreal. He was(is) a great man, and will be missed by all of us. Miles, keep an eye out for us. Well make sure the snake gets those times, in some way or another. [Frown] [Frown] [Frown] [Frown]

aww fugg man, that's some serious weak sauce.

In many books that I've read, there is a hero, and this hero is flawed. He struggles to live life until finally he manages to over come his flaw. Then he dies after finding out what life is really about.

Maybe Miles was ready and he knew what the point of life was...

ok, im gay, it's just this high school literature that makes me think.

its such a horrible lose....im heart broken. completely. what a horrible lose....its sad to see good people taken away from all of us...these are the times when i question god. why does he have to take teh good people away from this rather than the bad ones. but maybe god is taking him to better place to have him help god. its hard for everyone to take this, especially at this time of year. my heart goes out to all of his close friends, and especially his family. may all of stay strong and be safe...please. i love u all...this is the time when we should this about how we can all come together and be as one.

Oh my God ... [Frown] , I am crying as I type this. I've know miles for several months, he was a great guy, really extremely cool guy. Always willing to help. He's the one that got me all excited about the 03 cobra. If it wasn't for him I would have never bought this car. We talked almost every night (instant messages), I actually talked to him on Saturday night and he promised to install my exhaust system once I received it. It was funny, he had forgotten to go pick up his girlfriend or something, so he was gonna "fly" to her, and I told him to take it easy and be careful. I just can't believe this [Frown] [Frown] .
omg, no... I just can't freaking stop crying.
please PM his family's phone number so I can send my condolences.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Miles and his family. I'll always remember you Miles [Frown] .

To everyone:

I am going to get some more details about the funeral service and a way we can help out his family. I was told that Gabe is hanging in there, but being that it is his best friend; its hard for him. My prayers are with Gabe also. I will make sure that we have a memorial mark on our new t-shirts and getting details about all of us getting together in memory of Miles.

Thanks for everyones support! His family and friends will have a copy of this...

It's a shame that I didn't have the opportunity to meet him before the accident..

Reading all these replies makes me genuinely feel that I'm missing out by not having known him personally or shared memories with such a warm and kind-spirited individual..this is truly a loss.

I just wanna say that I'm sure Miles would be grateful he had such an impact on so many.. and would probably want everyone to learn from the experience.. instead of worrying endlessly about "what could have been".. no use in living in the past.. time to move forward and cherish whatever memories his friends did have of him..

If there's anyway I can help I'd like to be included..

Kitra

Man, I didnt know Miles other then on the net but he seemed to be a great guy. Why does it seem that this happens every Dec. I know of a few that have passed away in Dec. Its all to hard to take in. In a week it will be one of my friends 4 year anniversary and 3 year anniversary of a classmate. I just wanted to put up a qoute that has stuck with me after my friend passed on because it is so true.

" Some people come into our lives quickly and go. Some stay awhile and leave foot prints on our hearts and we are never the same"

You will be missed RIP

Me either...i just can't get that outta my head. I had a bad motorcycle accident this time 3 years ago...I was the same age as Miles...sux cuz i live with my injuries in my knees, foot, and hip everyday. I just keep thinking that at any given time, that it could have been me. Even though I never knew him other than on here...it still saddens me to the point of tears. I just hope that he went with no pain and that he's tearing it up like a madman up there....

Last year a friend of mine passed away... and this poem was given at the memorial service:

" Some people come into our lives and quickly go,
Some people stay a while and leave footprints on our hearts,
and we are ~never~ the same,
Thank you for stepping into my life."
- Footprints

Just thought that it was appropriate, since hes touched so many !

I have only met miles one time and am glad to have had that oportunity. I have read each and every post on this thred and can clearly see just how blessed Miles truly was. For so many people to be touched by him in so many different ways makes me wonder if I myself have been as good of person as I could, if I myself have had any effect on others in such a way as Miles had. Miles was young, making his passing all that much harder. He wasn't sick or suffereing, just living life as he saw fit. God has a plan for us all and it looks as though we can all see what His plan was for Miles.

God Bless you Miles, your family and your friends. [patriot]

Update:

I found out some more information from the Sheriff... Waiting to see the actual police report. This may be too hard to read... [Frown]

Both Gabe and Miles were riding on their motorcycles on highway 88 around Jackson city, Sac area. Miles went ahead and went into an unexpected sharp turn too fast and hit the side of the hill. This impact threw him into oncoming traffic, only to be hit by a diesel truck. By the time that Gabe got to him, it was too late. Gabe knew that he just lost his best friend. For the respect of his family, you can imagine what happen.

I saw Miles with his family today and he is at peace. It was hard to see him go.

However, I talked to the family and they said that Everyone is more than welcome to come to the viewing. The date has not been set since the Coroner still need to exam the body, required in all vehicular deaths. Probably towards the end of the week. Afterwards, we are going to have a memorial cruise from the funeral to a place that we can fellowship and think of all the good things Miles has affected in each of our lives.

For now, all Flowers will be sent to the Chapel of Chimes in Hayward since this is where the funeral service will take place and we are setting up a memorial fund for Miles' family. All the dates and times will be posted shortly. I wanted to keep everyone updated.

PM me if you have questions.

Thanks for all you love-

-Matt

This event has struck us all deep down. We have lost a friend..a fellow stanger, and for some of us a fellow rider as well. It has been made more than obvious, and for good reason, that Miles was an incredable person who touched the lives of many. The events of Sunday afternoon are ever so tragic, but Our friend Miles is with god now. Hearing of his accident is horrible. The details, although the do not change anything, make one step back in a deeper sorrow and disbelief. As a rider I know he was having fun when he left us. We ALL need to remember that. My most sincere thoughts and prayers go out to not only Miles, and his family, but with our friend Gabe as well. It is hard enough to lose someone you love, but to see it with your eyes can only devistate someone's soul with a higher degree of pain. Gabe, if you are reading this man, we are here for you, and you know this. I'm local for you now and I understand we aren't close...you know I'm here man. If you need someone to talk to, or somebody to unload on man...(916)223-7580...Do not hesitate to call man. You've always been a good man and you deserve the best in your time of need and sorrow.

My heart goes out to all who were touched by Miles and his life. To his family and friends...my deepest appologies again.

R.I.P. Miles "Our Ruff Rider in the sky"---keep us safe. [Frown]

I don't know what to say except for getting the details of what happens really hits home... You never know when something will happen like this. It is sooooo unfortunate that the good people get taken. He was a great person and always will be remembered as a great person. We never know how much we care for someone or something until it's gone. Miles will always be with each and everyone of us.

This goes to gabe. Gabe I know me and you had some differences awhile back, but if you need anything, anything at all, even if it is just someone to talk to. Call me 925-606-4274. My phone is open. This goes to anyone who wants to talk.

It's so hard to here, those details. The vision in my mind of what may have happened, I don't want to think about it. Miles, you had many great things going for you, it's sad to see we lost one of the most respectable members of the board. I only hope he knows he has all these friends that care about him. [Frown]

Days come and days go, and we all take it for granted. We all are caught up what we want and doing what "I" want to do during the day. Until something tragic happens. Then it takes you out of your shell, and shows that we are not invincible. But how long will this last? When will you be back to your normal daily routine?
Mile's tragedy is heart wrenching to hear about, especially being so near to Christmas. Though I also, have never met Miles, I sympathize deeply that he has passed, and am very sad. My condolences to his family and close friends, and to every one here. May the lord watch over his family and walk them through this time of grief.
I am sorry. [Frown]

Lauren and I will definitly be at the funeral and memorial cruise. It sucks that Miles is gone, he was a real good friend to Brian and I. I met him in 98, he had this kick ass car, a four banger turbo. That thing kicked azz, best ride I have ever had with a turbo in it. We talked about paintball, after my injury, he asked if I was ok. I wish I could do the same for him. All I can do is talk to him thru prayer. -

I just want to say thank you for all of your thougts and prayers. It is nice to know that Miles had so many Freinds. Yes. It is a tragedy that someone as young as Miles should be taken from us at such an early age. I think a lot of you said it right when you commented that he was doing what he loved up until the end. We can and should be happy for that, Although it is'nt of much solice at this time.
What happened is also a reminder. A reminder that we do leave loved ones behind
that don't understand how this could happen.
So please, I am asking that everyone be careful in all of their daily endeavers.

I've known Miles for over four years. Miles was one of the biggest Ford fan I've met. He Would always give me good advise and if there was a way to quickfix anything on a car he would know. I'm still in disbelief, and I can't absorb the fact that he's gone. One of my fondest memories was him beating an LS1 Z28 at the street racies with his Merkur XR4TI. Miles had Two other people in the car(including my wife,in the back seat and Gabe, in the front) and took the Z28 by over 3 car length's. Miles always represented the Blue Oval win or lose!!..Given the chance I bet his '03 Cobra would beat any Viper or Z06!!...Mile's will always be in our hearts as a true Ford fan and a great friend... My next race will be WON and dedicated to him.

I am so sad to hear this terrible news, I just met Miles 2-3 weeks ago, he lives over by my friend and I always seen his cobra outside so I decided to stop and talk to him and he was extremly nice to me and my friend. We talked about his car and all that he has done to it for over an hour, I would have really like to have known him better. He told me how he went through u.t.i. and got a Job at a mercedes dealership and how much he liked it and all. I really looked up to him for that. It such a tragedy, Miles had so much going for him. I hope his family gets through this and my best wishes to them. Rest In Peace Miles,
