Do not put on a high flow oil pump or water pump on Ford 302 engines. Do put on a hardened oil pump drive shaft.

Don't do it. Those fuckers go out quick. I'm assuming your shaft gave out? Just put a new stock replacement pickup and pump and an ARP shaft and you're good.

High pressure/volume pumps are not recommended. It adds too much pressure which puts additional strain on the distributor gear/roll pin and can twist the oil pump drive shaft. Its just not needed. ARP driveshaft IS recommended though.
