Hello, first post here, sorry if repeating question....
Like to put SVO k-member into Fairmont 5.0.
Question: are all SVO k's the same? I ask because the steering rack bolts don't fit through the tubes in the SVO piece.
(SVO tubes smaller dia.)
Do I have the right k? Will the Fmont rack fit?
Thank you. Brian

What year SVO K member do you have? Why not use a normal fox K member?

Thanks for the reply.
The SVO k-member is from a 1985.
It is lighter, and has improved suspension geometry.

The fairmont rack will fit. You will want some svo rack bushings. And bolts from a svo or 87 up mustang are the same I think.
A mustang rack would be nicer with the 15:1 ratio compared to 20:1 for the fairmont.

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, already have the Fox quick-ratio rack, bolts, and MM bushings etc.
I've removed the SVO k's through-pins, and will enlarge the bolt holes, make a spacer tube, and mount rack as it was in the Fairmont k.
Thanks again for clarifying.
