Has anyone experienced installing aftermarket springs on a 2017 GT? Livermore Ford quoted me 1700 with alignment, and most other shops quoted 7 hours in labor (5-6 hours for the rear).

Is this accurate, cause all the videos I have watched on youtube are nowhere near the time and effort.

Thanks for the insight people! [patriot]

$1,700 to install some lowering springs with alignment? That's rape, no lube. I've never worked on a S550 so I can't see how it can cost $1,700. I know shops gotta make their money but this ain't no blower install or whatnot. Maybe someone can chime in who owns one. I know for $1,700 my car can climb rocks its whole life. lol

I viewed all the videos on Cj, LMR, and AM... All have the install at 4 hours! I can's see the cost being much more than $500.

How do you like them?? Those were my original choice but i didnt like the fact that the front gap seems bigger then the rear making it seem like the rear is lower then the front. Ended up with cjpp springs and have almost no wheel gap. Also i did the 1” spacers all around makes a huge difference. Car looks badass btw that blue just pops

Thanks, I really like the handling of the BMR setup, the car doesn't have rubbing issues, rides better then stock, and BMR supposedly designed those springs to match the PP shocks which I didn't want to change. [

6.8 hour job according to all data. 6.8 x average labor rate at most shops. Lets say 140 that's $952. Now for the alignment some shops charge 80-120?? Or by the hour let's say. In other words, if you want to save money, do it yourself or with some friends. Shops have to make money in order to stay in business.

NextGen did and installed the sequential front turn signals for less.

Alldata has 6.8 hours of due to Alldata says to drop the rear spindle, which is not needed.

Next time try BBQ lighter fluid and a tough rag to get that sticky goop off. It strips the wax off too. Add a new coat of wax to the area when you're done.

I've always worried the 3M eraser wheel will dig into the clear coat. What RPM do you run it at? Do you use a water spray bottle on the area to keep the heat down?

Just use a drill, it doesn't take much rpm to get the job done. Just did them yesterday. Both sides done in 5 min.
