What tires are you guys running? I'm going to get some 17" rims for the track since Mike @ Maier Racing said theres more options in 17's. I keep hering RE-01R's, Azenis, or Dunlop Z1 Star Spec, but what else is out there? I'm looking for something sticky but that can handle good in wet conditions in case I run the Slush season.

RE-01R are great tires- very good compound. I've run RT615 (Falkens)which are decent, but dont have as good a heat range. I havent tried Dunlops, but there new DZ1? looks very promising.

I want to try the Azenis but I keep hearing about the heat range issue. What is it exactly? Do they get slippery when too hot? How hot is "too hot"?

For street, they are perfectly fine. For track days, they are on the lower end of "good" tires. Once they get past their comfortable heat range, they get very greasy. They also take quite a bit to cool down to a useable temp. As long as you dont overheat them, they work fine.
