Alright I got a issue with a hunting idle on a 86 mustang so it's idles fine until it heats up it's basically stock but it does have a b cam in with shortys and a 130amp alternator. I found the egr leaking and a couple vac hoses fix them, there is no vacuum leaks I cleaned the build up behind the heads and in the throttle body that shit was damn near plugged solid I put 2 different tps on the iac was Farley new besides the map sensor what other issues could I have timing is good I just rebuilt the motor it has about 500 miles on it

If the IAC has ever been replaced it is a diode in the harness that goes to the IAC. Early cars had the diode in the harness. Sometime along the way Ford moved the diode inside the IAC.

Here is a thread on the subject.

Easy fix.

Speed density cars don't like cams. A custom tune can help. Spend that money on a mass air conversion instead.
