The car is a 85 mustang and I have currently have cobra brakes in front and drums in the rear with the stock master & brake booster . I now want to convert to rear cobra disc but I don't want to beat up my strut tower . Will a 93 cobra or 94-95 cobra master cylinder work with the stock 85 brake booster Any ideas?

It will work but from what I read was that the brake pedal doesn't feel too good. I ended up using a 94/95 Cobra brake booster/master cylinder on my '86. I found it easier to trim down two studs 3/8" so I didn't have to beat my strut tower that much.

It hits more towards the bottom of the strut tower. I trimmed the two studs on the drivers side but maybe all 4 would work better. I was already too far in for me to need to trim the other two. Also 94/95 have different bolt pattern(that's why people use 93 cobra boosters) than our stock boosters so you have to drill I think 3 holes and make one bigger(top left if I remember correctly). I made a template out of cardboard. [ 2017-06-21, 06:33 AM: Message edited by: NEIGHT ]
