Just bought a tuff stuff 140 amp alternator and installed it..now its not holding charge. What should I check for.

Check the fusible links on the alt. wire(s).

I find the title to this tread amusing as it basically states that the OP failed at doing an alternator job.

As for what to check:
Check all power and ground circuits and if nothing fucked is found, verify that pin holding the brushes has been pulled.

Check plug on alt as well, they get brittle and won't stay put if air is between harness and grommet
