im having problems around town with my casr running hot,it is fine on the freeway just not in town.
now my ? is there a way i can make my electric fan come on sooner or would i have to put a switch inline with it to manually do it. [Confused]

Basically you'd need a switch which is tapped into the lead on the stock ECM. This will allow for turning off or on the fan whenever you want it do so. I think there is even a company that sells a kit to do this though buying these items at radio shack would be the cheap way to do it. Before doing this I would check over all the cooling parts on the car to make sure their functions are working as they should be.

manual fan install and your cooling system still functions perfectly. I did it a few years back and no problems.
