I always thought it was rivited in and couldn't be replaced. I could be wrong though.


Why do you have to replace it? Its a very very uncommon part to go bad.

yes the PIP , I installed it and now im trying to get the damn thing started!!! I had to pull the whole distributor out.

Now I have put #1 cylinder to tdc, Point the rotor at #1 on the rotor cap. And now nothing... Wont start.. I think I goofed though!!! i was reading that the bottom base of the cap has to be alignment ribs have to be aligned with the allingnment slot on the shaft. I gues I forgot to do this this is why it will not start. Any more Ideas?????What happened????
