Most people are going with the off road "no cats" Bassani, but if I get the Bassani with the cats does the sound differ all that much?

Thanks

Not really a silly question. I have the Bassani with cats and stock cat back. I get many compliments on the sound. I haven't heard the uncatted version so don't really know if their is a sound difference. I think they would be louder. HP is not much different so should not be a factor.

Thanks,, I saw your ride and it is very nice. I heard your exhaust a bit but didn't get to hear in in rev. My friends have the Bassani with out cats and they sound good, I just don't want the risk of a no cat ticket.

Adam, if you really want a very noticeable difference, get the o/r version. The catted Bassani sound w/ Saleen's Borla system won't really change much..maybe at real high RPM.

I have an off road x-pipe and I noticed a big power gain from my stock h-pipe.

I would be too concerned about emissions to get a non-catted x-pipe. But then again, I am a lazy bitch who wouldn't change it out every time I go for an emission test :P I am getting wht Spintech catted X-pipe which I believe is actually manufactured by Dr.Gas. I will let you know how it sounds when I get it. Also, has anyone heard or used the C&L cats yet?

Yeah I was reading up on Dr. Gas and people say that they have a distinctive sound different from the regular off road H and bassani X. But I would be affraid to git it untill I heard them. I think I will just go with the Bassani off road I have heard them and like it. Nate hit me up.

I have a Spintech system and actaully had it installed at Spintech down here in So. Cal (riverside) And Dr. Gas is a separate company, but they guy who started Dr. Gas also started Spintech when they started out as just a racing muffler company.

Spintech mufflers are pretty much tuned for the Dr. Gas X since that is what is included with the Spintech cat-back system. I really dig the sound. Its not loud as my car stands right now (stock) and yes it is a little different frommy old Flows and Dynomax stuff. I will let you guys check it out when I get the O/R pipe on after I finish my engine.
