Ive heard there are many ways to get the most hp out of your vortech. which is the best set up ? does the vortech cooling system work well compared to fast track intercoller ? which will give me best gains in hp? is there a price difference? which is easier to install ? etc?

Kind of a trade off. An air to air cooler gives you a constant cold air charge where the Vortech can be temoporarily loaded w/ ice to give an even cooler charge. With the ice melted the cooling levels would be less than a air to air. It's up to how you use your car. Both are about the same price in parts but the air to air would be more in labor.
