All 4.6 alternators are NOT the same..03/04 Cobras are 03/04 Cobra specific! Same goes for 96-04 2v GTs and 96-04 N/A 32v Cobras and mach 1s..if you end up using a 4v non 03/04 cobra alternator with a 2v you have to change the pigtail wiring..

I have one off a 04 mach1. Same as 96-01 cobra.
