it never made sense to me neither, if you put it on the third hook all that means is you cant tighten the nut on the cable as much.
i installed a tripple hook on my wifes and it wouldnt stay on the third it kept slippn to the 2nd ![[Confused]](confused.gif) . i got the american racing kit that came with tripple hook, adjustable cable, and firewall adjuster and it still made a huge difference ![[Whoo Whooooo!]](graemlins/woowoo.gif)
so all though i couldnt install it on the third hook it worked great due to the firewall adjuster
