I fucked up for trying some shit man. I bought J&M upper control arms kuz I didn't wanna run stock uppers with my MM lowers. I chose the J&M because they came with a 3-piece bushing that's supposed to prevent binding but I cant get the damn air out of these bushings so it keeps pushing itself out. Pissing me off that it has taken more than a day to install damn control arms. WTF ![[Mad]](mad.gif)

Talk to Maximum Motorsports. Stock uppers with fresh bushings could be better than J&M uppers if you are using MM lowers.

It’s too late bro. I already scratched one of the control arms so those things officially belong to me. This is what I get for going against the grain on everything. Today I don’t have work so I’ll be figuring some shit out today kuz one way or another these damn arms are gonna go on. Been too long since I driven my hatch.

I don't have a video because I don't have access to the security cameras at work. But damn a full drum went airborne about 2' off the ground and shot the lid to the ceiling and took out some paneling.

Anyone seen that new smog law they're trying to pass? I read that its possibly changing to 35 years and up are exempt and also read that they'll only smog OBDII cars. I don't know which one is true but this is looking good for us. I'll be able to daily my hatch once again with no worries. ![[burnout]](graemlins/burnout.gif)

What are the chances Newscum will sign it? The fine print says the car must be insured as a collector motor vehicle. What does this mean? Mileage limit and higher prices?
quote: the bill would fully exempt a collector motor vehicle from the smog check requirement if the vehicle is at least 35 model years old and proof is submitted that the motor vehicle is insured as a collector motor vehicle, as specified.

Lately I been really stuck on learning to tune a Holley system. Last week I made so many adjustments to my '86 that it finally revs fast like its supposed to and doesn't die anymore on the ramp down. Imma start throwing timing at it soon when I dial it in a little more. I never realized how every little thing really matters when tuning. What was fucking me up on the ramp down mostly was my IAC, fuel and timing. I was leaning out after a good pull.

Got that pretty dialed in now. I made more adjustments the other day. I found a cheat way to get the lower RPM's dialed in. I just raise the idle speed from 850-1500 RPM's in increments on 100 so it learns those quick. No need to break my head lol At first I was trying to do the pedal and hold but fuck that made my RPM's and AFR suffer trying to find itself.
I'm just glad I achieved my first goal and that was to get it to a point where it does not die anymore. There was a couple times it died on me on the damn freeway and there I am cranking it at like 80 MPH
Once all this is done and running pretty good I will drive it like this for a bit and I'm slapping my blower on here finally. Damn shit has been in the box for like 10+ years

Most Holley cars I see have some sort of drivability issue. Cold start is a common one. Anyone on here have a Holley EFI that runs like a factory car?

Well most cars who run Holley are pretty damn modified. Another reason is people don't always properly put things together.

Finally got around to swapping out my control arms. No fucken wonder my rear swayed like crazy the last time I drove it. Literally all my bushing fell off the control arms when I pulled them out. ![[Eek!]](eek.gif)

This week I'll be giving the '94 a full tune-up, new shocks and struts all around, new water-pump, headlights, fog lights and door inserts. Then hopefully I'll be posting it up for sale soon. I kinda wanna try a mini cooper. I heard the 02-06 are stock supercharged and can do some fun things to them to get them moving. I want one with some crazy livery like a rally car.
