Yea , I’m not a big fan of these hybrid projects. But those damn LS engines make a ton of power with only a cam + parts are cheap too, another words it’s afordable and reliable to hit the 500hp if you compare it to a Windsor where you might be breaking parts at 500hp, Ford parts are more expensive. That’s the reason I’m sure most of us here know it’s because the money part that they Decide to go with the LS. On the other hand, the fox platform is the best layout lightest chassis for a stock suspension. mix these two together’ slap a LS engine with heads and cam on a fox body and you have a pretty challenging race car if money is an issue and you can’t aford to build a ford beast!
Ls on a ford body = cheating [ 2018-08-01, 03:07 PM: Message edited by: El Caballo ]

What size tire are you guys running out back on a 17x9 wheel? I'm getting Pony R's for my drop top(yes I'm powder coating them white) and don't want to remove quad shocks or roll fenders.

For what it’s worth I run 275’s on a 9.5 wheel on one car and on another car I run 265’s on the same width wheel, being that you aren’t removing the quad shocks I think a 255 is definitely an option for you.

You should roll the fenders. It'll be cheaper than buying new tires after your unrolled fenders cut up your thin side walls. 255 could work. 245 is the safest.

I don't want to do anything to the car that I cant undo. I don't plan on modding this car at all besides just the wheels, cooling system(done), 3g alternator upgrade(done) and later rear disk brakes. Other than that I don't want to do anything to the car not even exhaust. I'm still on the fence on even doing an electric fan upgrade. If you guys seen my car in person you'd understand why I want to keep it stock. [ 2018-08-28, 07:28 AM: Message edited by: NEIGHT ]

Would 255's look flush to the rim? I don't like the stretched look so I'll run the widest tire I can without modifications.

How's their pricing? I got a quote from some other spot in San Jose and they wanted to charge me $40 extra dollars each wheel because its a "special color."

Pricing I guess it depend what your looking for. me personally I believe you get what you pay for. I think it was fair for powdering my stuff and Cost was $475 per rim for a Cerakote Satin finish.. wheels we’re 26x16 tho, you should contact Robert just to get a quote if this seams fair to you I don’t know how much of a difference a smaller diameter rim would be

Will do. My boy recommended me him because I guess he's done a few parts for him.
