Americans are very fortunate to have people across the world give up everything they have to come to a new land. In this new land they often wash dishes, pick strawberries and do tasks spoiled Americans wouldn't dare. They do these tasks for very low pay. Their only motivation is to give their children a chance. Opportunities they never had themselves.

I don't think that I could agree with you more here. I do think it should be easy for someone to become a legal immigrant. At least easier.

There was a time when California allowed immigrants to enter the state legally for the growing and harvest seasons to work. It's too bad that policy went by the wayside.
