The cop is really his uncle and they staged the whole thing. He'll win his frivolous lawsuit and split the money with his uncle!
Once again...and again...and again, you don't know the whole story as to why the cop was there in the first place. Perhaps a neighbor called because that house owner was brandishing an AK-47 or something that. YOU DON'T KNOW. You only know what the media will show you, and it's usually not the whole deal.
I'm not defending the cop, nor am I a lawyer, hell, I don't even have and internet law degree. But I do keep an open mind because I DON'T know the whole story. I'll let it play out, then form my judgment.

all joking aside i think these following things...
- seems like don initiated initial contact, a cop in front of your house maybe annoying but i didnt see him say anything.
- cop seems to compare people that believe in the constitution to crazy people, which pisses me off.
- cop didnt really have a reason, as far as i can tell, to get out of his car and approach that queer don.

If that was the case the cop would have immediately detained him.
Its very telling the cop was not there for a lawful reason when he said "I am here because you are taking my picture, so I am going to take your picture"
Thats the red flag. Taking film and/or pictures of LEO's is in no way shape or form any reason for them to get aggressive and escalate the violence of a situation and/or threaten you with death (like this cop did).

When i first seen the video, i hated Don's annoying voice and demeanor before I knew it was him. The fact that the cops have been over there several times means he's not getting along with his neighbors and is a general douche overall.
I don't remember the cops coming over to my house in almost 10 years for ANYTHING. But that's how some people live and to think my taxpayer dollars are going to this loser's bank accounts due to his cop baiting shit. Fuck that. I see the courts justifying the cops actions, hell nobody died, and them recouping their legal costs. Back to washing cars Donaldo.

His job is to control only if there is a crime being committed. That officer gave exactly zero reason for being there. Taking a picture of the police car, once again, is exactly no reason to be threatened with violence or death. Its protected under the 1st amendment.
Also he did immediately take his hands out, put his stuff on the hood, and then pointed at the officer with the hand. He did comply.
Once again if you or I did what that cop did we would be in jail. Police are not above the law, they have to enforce AND obey the same laws.
I could care less if the guy is an asshole or not. Police need to be held accountable and to a higher standard because of the nature of their job. People need to videotape every police encounter. Police should be required to wear body cameras at all times as well. For their protection against frivolous accusations and for the protection of our rights as citizens.
The department still has yet to say why the officer was there nor give any indication a crime was taking place.
The only thing we have is a douchebag officer stating he pulled his gun on someone because they were being filmed.
And I am guessing that if the cop tells you to get on your knees and open your mouth you would because you are not a lawyer?

And a little tidbit from the local paper (as people are saying he deserved it because of criminal activity):
"A police records supervisor said that there has been no documented police activity, including calls requesting police response or an officer-initiated event, so far this year at McComas’ address. McComas has no recent criminal history since a 1997 conviction for felony evasion of police."
So not sure why the cop was there even in the first place.

Sounds like some of you just have bad blood with this guy and that's cool whatever, but going by the video it doesn't appear that he was being charged for anything, wasn't detained, searched or read his rights. The officer did not have a valid reason as to why he stopped and approached him, let alone pull his weapon. He (Don) pulled his hand out of his pocket and put his shit on the hood. clearly if the officer felt he was in danger he would have searched him at the very least. But to pull his weapon and follow the guy instead of holding his position and give verbal commands, wtf is up with that? But no, he just followed him around and eventually drove off.
