What are your thoughts? First all I extremely happy to see that Cohan is gone. He couldn't get the job done as an owner.
I see it two ways. Cohan never intended to sell to Ellison and used Ellison to drive up the price of the Warriors and sold to someone else. Reports have said that Ellison was the highest bidder. It may or may not be true.
It could also be the possibility that Cohan saw Lacob as a person who is a hoop head and knows the history of the warriors. He is (or was I should say) a minority of the Celtics and has been a GSW season ticket holder for 10 years now.
I would have liked to see what Ellison could do since we know he is a winner but all the money in the world won't buy championships in the NBA. Cuban is a prime example of that. Either way I see it as win win. We get a new owner that has experience on a championship team and a genuine love for Warrior basketball.

Anything is better then the Cohans
-------------------- Making the moderators cyber-sit me is probably a good way of getting my account locked for a while. I know they're busy folks volunteering their time to help others out. It's selfish of me and others who make their task more time consuming and difficult than it already is. In fact I should either chip in and help out or not participate at all. I'm going to do my best to be part of the solution and not the problem from now on.

This is good news. Warriors fans deserve a winning team. Unlike the Raiders and A's, their fans show up!

Those Cohans are something! Always trying to get the better of us. I bought a 72 DLP set and they went out and purchased an 83 DLP set the next day!
