pretty cool idea, but if i were to do that id just get a dynacorn shell and go from there.

These look very cool. There is one out there for 67-68 mustangs, it costs about $13k as I recall. I'm thinking of doing it one day, when I have money to burn.

thats alot of money mustangs plus sells those fast back bodys for 15k

Yeah, I kind of wish they had that when I started my 67 project 3 years ago, but then again I would be another $10k in the hole by now. I've already spent way too much money on my coupe. But it's done now, and fun to drive. And I don't have to smog it.

There's a guy in Lake Havasu City, Az that does coupe to fastback conversions. I believe it's $8k.

I've heard mixed reviews on the guy though.

there's a shop in Santa Clara that does them it's called FnS auto body on el camino across the street from the in n out burger in sunnyvale.

Have fun Filing for the Sb100. As mentioned above there are only 500 given a year. I waited from 3:30 am till 10:00 am to get my number for my cobra kit car.

the sb 100 is getting harder and harder to get me and my dad built a kit a few years ago and we got an apointment on the first dmv in the new year at 8 a.m. got number 462 out of 500

You guys are mostly talking about new shells, but they also have a fastback rear body section that can be welded on to a coupe after removing the rear body panels and roof. It's cheaper and I don't think it requires a registration change since you keep the registration on the donor car.

Way out of my price range but it's on my someday wish list.
