Simple green didn't work, dawn didn't work, goo gone didn't work, steel wool too harsh, mr clean earaser didn't work!
What to use to get the sticky shit off after removing decals? This is some crazy this stickum crap. Goo Gone seemed to make it worse. Nothing is breaking this shit up and I'm afraid to use steel wool it might remove the gloss finish from the paint. Just a bike fairing so WHAT DO I USE!

I have rubbing alc. at home I'll try that...but what about the paint? wont fuck it up?

as for goof off isn't that the same as goo gone?

goof off, and or rubbing alcohol. If it is not on paint, use the above with a razor blade (lightly scratch)

goof off is the brand and i used it to take window tint off,decals on my old bike,and other misc.shit and it works good.
if that dosent work then i dont know what to use after that.
i know some air craft remover would def work but i am almost certain it will take paint some of the paint with it.

Try this stuff called Honda Clean. Go to any motorcycle dealership that sells honda's and ask for it. It comes in a black bottle with pink letters. You can use it on your bike to clean grease, dead bugs, etc off your fairings.

I just heard that oil...like cooking oil will break that stuff up. Anyone heard of this before? Also just hear that WD-40 might work?

I Have just the thing for you
This stuff has been my secret for removing gum, tar, sap, etc from paint without hurting the paint.
I have been using this stuff for the past 10 years after learning about it from a body shop (since that's what they used to remove so adhesive off my 87GT years ago)
drop me a reminder email and I will give you the name of the stuff and a phone number of where you can get it.
It costs about $10-20 per quart.
One quart lasted me about 9 years, lol

have you tried blowing hot air on it with a blow dryer? once it warms up, it s a little easier to rub off. i like to use Bug & Tar remover in a yellow can. spray it on, sit for about 1 min, then put some elbow grease into it.

First off do not use steel wool unless you wanta get the paint off lol
Do you have a heat gun? Set the gun up and heat up the residue then take a micro fiber towel or whatever you use get it a bit damp on one side and once it has been heated up enought it should come right off, might take a few times of doing it tho.. Good luck ![[patriot]](graemlins/patriot.gif)

Acryla clean or Ms100 would do it. Although MS100 can eat the paint if you sit there to long.

Well i work at a body shop and we either use adhersive remover which can sometimes dull the paint but i find at coat of wax usually brings it back, or a rubber wheel that is designed to remove all types of adhesives and does not damage the paint.
