Ya, the hood looks great on that stock car
Before you say, "you don't know it's stock," you must be an even bigger idiot to even consider that notion
my cobra is stock and has the same hood...
Then you get the same for a stupidly big hood on an under powered car
LOL...
You can always argue that it comes down to personal taste, but a 4 inch cowl hood in a stock Mustang is just plain gayness and is screaming out that you have questionable taste.
JMHO
so this is bad taste, just because it has the stock motor...
Yeah, it just doesn't look right.
Why you making me repeat myself, lol?
As was said above, the car would look MUCH better with the stock hood. Right now it looks like some prehistoric dinosaur.
This beast has a 4 inch cowl hood
http://www.dinoworld.net/parasaurk.JPG
Don't take it personally guys.
I think the question should have been, would you have known it was stock if you saw it driving down the road with that hood on? Your saying it doesn't look right but if he didn't tell you he had a stock motor what then? would it still not look right? [ September 16, 2005, 01:05 PM: Message edited by: Cobra5.0Jeep ]

I have a 4 inch Cobra R hood on my GT, but i'm not stock When i first put it on it was stock though.
I don't think it matters though what size hood you put on your car, if its stock or not.

I think you would have to be an idiot not to know the difference..... If I saw John's car or Forced331's car, YOU CAN TELL THE REASON FOR THE LARGE HOOD
for 4" cowl hoods on cars that don't need the clearance

I think cowl hoods on a car that doesn't need the clearance is gay.
If I car had it and I couldn't find a matching painted hood for it then I'd leave it but I wouldn't go out of my way to put on a cowl hood on a car that doesn't need it.
Nor would I put those ugly 5.0 emblems on an sn-95.
Cobra r's are ugly especially 20" 4 lug ones and ones that don't fill the rear wheel well completely.
Yup Don it's been a long week. I hardly slept through it. I took a polygraph for San Bernardino PD on Tuesday passed it I am invited for a weekend to the city to take another exam and a ride along with them all paid by them. Basicly if I have been honest in my background I will be hired and start getting paid in october. They are in fast track to hire people. I barely put in my application monday did my interview that same day and tuesday was taking my polygraph.
They were talking hella shit on other academies. Talking about how they were failing the polygrahpy exams and unprepared with empty packets when they had 5 days to fill it where as we had a few hours. Only 1 person from what I heard didn't get through in our academy from the ones that went. 7 I think but some are already withdrawing from it.
After the 10th week we are down to 29 from the 49 that started.

I agree 100% I've never been a huge fan of visual enhancements besides rims and a stance...
Very few body mods improve the lines of a clean, stock foxbody Mustang.

so witch one is it then...Only cars with some real rwhp should have cowl hoods?..Or cars that need only need them for hood clearance?...
