SUBFRAMES CONNECTORS-$99.99 Installed!
1979-2004 Ford Mustangs
 -

If you don't have subframes you gotta get them! You won't believe how much this upgrade will change how your car feels and drives! No more creaking from the chasis! Also available uninstalled for only $59.99!

These subframes are made especially for Apex Motorsports and are IDENTICAL to the ones in the Ford Motorsport 2005 catalog and are VERY similar to the Maximum Motorsports units. They are made in the USA..NOT import/ China junk. They come bare metal and are available in black or red power coated finish. When finished installing the bare metal units are painted to prevent rusting.

All subframes performed by Apex are WELDED in.. NOT bolted for maximum chasis bracing. You never want to just bolt them on.

If you are interested in having the subframes installed please contact Mario Sousa at 408/588-0075 or info@apexmotorsports.com. You can also drop by the shop to schedule a appointment also.

Are the Sub frames Maximum Motorsports? Are they coated or bare metal?

Do you bolt them or weld them?

What is the difference between full and standard length?

What kind do I need on my 92 convertible?
thanks
Gus

These subframes are made especially for Apex Motorsports and are IDENTICAL to the ones in the Ford Motorsport 2005 catalog. They are made in the USA..NOT import/ China junk. If you want MM instead we can do those for $140 installed. The Apex subframes are as good as the MM ones. They come bare metal and are available in black or red power coated finish. When finished installing the bare metal units are painted to prevent rusting.

All subframes performed by Apex are WELDED in.. NOT bolted for maximum chasis bracing. You never want to just bolt them on.

The difference between full length and standard subframes are the level of chasis bracing. The full length units provide much more chasis stiffening and do costs more to install... the price is $230 installed for full length units.

All our subframes do fit convertible also BUT we must have another hour of so of installion. Because Ford added some chasis bracing we must modify the subframes so they fit properly. For any Vert install, regardless of make of subframe, we must charge an additional $80.

If you are interested in having the subframes installed please contact Mario Sousa at 408/588-0075 or info@apexmotorsports.com. You can also drop by the shop to schedule a appointment also.

What gauge are these subframes? Also what are the cross section dimensions? Thanks.

why are the full lengths 130$ more?

Posted by Apexmotorsports (Member # 5307) on :

The full lengths costs more installed because of a few factors.

#1-They costs us much more than standard subframes
#2-They take ALOT longer to install.

We are sold out of the $99 specials and now have the Griggs units, which are better, for only $159.99 installed.

Would you reccomend Griggs or MM subframes?

any pics/details of the griggs compared to the other ones?

Tried to schedule an install with you guys. Got a call the day before saying "your welder is broken and you can't do the install."

what's the deal, you guys installing subframes or not?

Griggs and Maximum "STANDARD" subframes are pretty much the same.. BUT Griggs World Challenge Frame kit is the BEST chasis bracing availale for the Mustang ANYWHERE! It will stiffen up your chasis up to 1500%! In fact there is a picture of a car sitting on it's trunk and tilted at a 45 degree angle with almost no flex to the chasis! I will see if I can find that picture for you guys. My personal opinion is Griggs makes the best Subframes when you consider stiffness and weight. There are some subframes out there which will stiffen your chasis pretty good BUT will add WAY too much weight to the car. Don't ever let anyone tell you "Power to weight ratio" does not matter.. it DOES ALOT...

Ditto, I would also like to see it, does it work on the Cobras?

Posted by Apexmotorsports (Member # 5307) on :

It definitely works on Cobras with IRS. I have not had time to find the picture but I will post some pictures of the unit installed.

No, I just found that pic online so that people could see the frame kit. I do have them on my race car though. Certainly the lightest way to stiffen things up for cars that need that level of strength. Honestly living in Tracy has been really great! I was suprised to like it as much as I do. [Smile]

Tracy is a really slow city and is not a bad change of pace if you are from the Bay Area. I don't think it's for me as I grew up in Stockton and love the Bay Area. Glad you are having a good time in Tracy.
