I did my 1st road course last weekend at Willow Springs, running with the Cobra Club. What a blast it was and there were some beautiful cars there also. The people I met were all very cool and friendly. They ran 3 groups and I ran in the intermediate group, man was that fun. I was right on a 64 Cobra and he took a bad line right in front of me and spun off the track at about 70 mph. I was 5th gear on the straights at 5000-5500 rpms, it was crazy flying like that right into a turn, but wow was it a great feeling. I shot a few pics and have some in car video that I will try and post. There were Cobras, a lot of GT350s, GT500s, BOSSes. I even chased down a 68 Camaro TransAm Car and blew by him(not sure why he was there). An instructor(20+ years running at that track) was out on a run with me(in his prepared 65 fastback) and we started together and I put some distance on him every lap and he runs in the mid 1:40s out there, He told me he got close when I hit traffic, but after that I was gone, I was pumped! I'm Hooked, drag racing will soon be a thing of the past

Even know there are only 5 of them at WS.. I really like WS.. Fast track.. That last two turns are freaken scarey though. 4th gear balls to the wall.. 140+ in my car all the way around.. A bit of breaking then the balls out front straight. Gotta love it..
