Hey Cafords,

i just purchasd a stock h pipe from a 03 cobra and i have read mix comments about it wont fit and WILL fit on my 2002 GT. Can anyone confirm that it will fit and i shouldnt have an issue with the install??

pretty sure it will not fit. different exhaust manifold configuration.

I think it will only fit if one side of the pipes is like a two piece kind of deal so you can adjust it

common sense is telling me no. You have a 2v SOHC motor vs a 4v DOHC motor. Only one way to find out. try it [patriot]

I sold a stock h pipe from a 02 Gt to a guy that wanted it to pass smog on a 03 cobra, he told me he had a little trouble installing it And had small exhaust leak on one side(don't remember what side) and couldn't get it to seal correctly
It passed smog so he didn't care
So he wasn't sure if the issue was from the h pipe being from a GT or he just couldn't get it right
Just passing up some info hope it helps

Personal experience says it will fit. Sold one to a guy on CL for his 03 cobra and never had a single complaint.

I have also bought a magnaflow catted X pipe that was from someone with an 04 cobra put it on my 02 GT with no issues.

Yes it will fit.. All 99-04 midpipes are interchangeable..04's had the rear 02 sensors further up stream. [patriot]

i got a bbk 2 cat x pipe from another member and it fit on my 99 cobra. the driver side manifold studs wouldn't allow it to sink all the way down so i cut a small piece of metal like a donut to go in the pipe and help seal it up. works like a champ.

Just got it installed it fit without issues. so 03 cobra stock h pipe will fit an 01-04 GT. thanks cafords!

99-04 are the same midpipe. Regardless of 2v vs 4v.
