On the tag it says Wes-t 9kb 2.75 9 951a it's an 9 inch but what did it come out of

WES-T is a '69-'70 Cougar/'69-'73 Mustang axle. It's a 28 spline 2.75:1 ratio. It's also not a traction-lok diff. Just a regular open. You can confirm by looking at the ring gear bolts. If the bolt heads are shrouded by the diff housing, then it's a trac-lok, if they're not shrouded, it's an open diff.

This pic will show you what I mean by shrouded and un-shrouded.
