Hello,
I just recently bought a 91 mustang 5.0 lx from a auction. The car runs good and everything but I notice that it has a 4-speed manual transmission in their... ANd to get it into reverse you push down and to the left. I was wondering if anybody knew what kind of transmission this is...

sounds like a SROD from 79-82 mustangs(and some 83's had it as well).. Thats how the shift pattern & gear were on the original transmission on my 82 before I put a T5 in it.. I would just take it out and put a T5 because the SROD trans isnt very mod friendly..

Thanks for clearing that up for me....I think I will definitely take your advice and switch to a T-5 because I'm really not used to this setup
