I am in the market to buy a Tubular K member & Tubular A arms. The dilemma I am facing is that it seems that almost 98% of the Tubular A arms are for a Coil Over set ups & I am trying to keep the original set up just because I've heard that the coil over set up might not be the best choice for everyday ride comfort & that they can be noisy, but it seems like all I have seen is AJE that carries Tubular A arms w/ the spring perches? I heard maybe UPR had them but didn't see them during my searches. I really would want to go w/ a Maximum Motorsport set up, but I dont think they manufacture them either. Am I stuck just w/ having to do an AJE set up or what? Any info or suggestions or opinions would be a big help. Thanks guys

There is a reason that 98% of all tubular front ends do not have provisions for traditional springs.
The only disadvantage from my personal experience is the initial cost of coil-overs. They will ride smoother and allow for better handling if properly set up for how you use the car. You have almost infinite control over your ride height as well. And if you buy a quality kit, there is zero noise. The only reason I could see to stay with traditional springs would be budget or the desire to run very wide front wheel/ tire combo( anything over 9" wide on a Fox, for example)as the coil-over spring will take up some extra real estate near the rolling stock.

You can buy the perches seperately and weld them on to any tubular control arm..

Once you go coil overs you will never go back. without a shadow of a dought coil overs are the way to go. We do not use anything else in our shop. Conventional front ends are out. I drive my TYPHOON every day and have a great ride and no issues whatsoever with coil overs. Go for it you wont regret it one bit.

The other question then would be what do most people do in the back? Leave the traditional set up? Most of the K member / A arm kits I see that already come w/ the coil over kit included only come w/ 2 for the front & don't really come w/ them for the back. I take it that most people leave the original set up in the back? & can you use any type of spring you wish (Eibach, H&R, Steeda, etc) w/ say a Koni shock in any of the Coil over conversion kits? Just put the spring in the coil over & run it traditional in the back? Price isn't so much of an issue although i wouldn't mind saving some money to go traditional style w/ perched A arms if it's going to be suitable for what I intend on using the car for. I'm not going to be drag racing or track racing, mainly just cruising & hitting some back roads once in a while . Obviously coil over suspension is better in general but just wondering if for my application & needs if it's absolutely necessary? Just trying to figure everything out before I go & spend a bunch of money & then change my mind. Thank you for all the info thus far & anymore opinions & comments would be appreciated.

I have coil overs in the front an sport line in the rear.when I redo the rear suspension I will add teamz springs that go in the stock location.

Are the springs that go on the coil overs different than in the back? So basically if I buy a coil over kit w/ springs included & keep the back the way it is but want upgraded springs then I'm going to have 2 different types of springs? Or do the springs from an Eibach or H&R kit fit on the coil over?? To me it's looks like ur standard spring is wider than one that would go on the coil over?

True. I got in an accident & the shop said I would basically need a new one. So I figure if I'm gonna replace it why not upgrade it right?
