I know you're just trying to get the car running, but you know the 68 tank is only 16 gallons and the 69 is 20 gallons right? Just want to make sure you're cool with plunking $50 down on a smaller tank. IMO, I'd get a new one for $100. One of the many Mustang places in the Bay Area probably has one.

Oh ok. I'll look into it then. I did notice that the 69 tank has a higher rise in the trunk compared to the 68 but I didnt think anything of it. I didn't know new tanks sold for around $100 either

I ordered my tank from Mustangs Unlimited. I got the kit for $129 that came with the sender, filler hose and seals. But if you just want the tank, they have it for $99.

Or, you could try Restoration Parts Source in Hayward. Most of the time he has stuff in stock and you don't have to wait. Tony is a great dude and will talk Mustangs with you all day long. Plus his price on a '69 tank is $90.

I just remembered. The tank that I found also has a sending unit with an extra hole for a return line brand new. So I guess it's not so bad for 50 bucks and he's dropping it off to me lol [Whoo Whooooo!]
