I just replaced my door pins and now i need to adjust my striker. I have played with it for hours with no luck.

Does anyone know the best way to adjust the door striker. The bolt that screws into the body of the car.

You might need to adjust the hinge.

Dang! I did not want to have to do that. I had to pay someone to adjust the fender the last time i took it off then he didnt even finish the job.

I have faith in you. It's easy. just loosen up the bolts on the hinge. And play with it a little. Same with the fender. Takes some time. But it's easy as shit.

Spoke to Tom JR and he runs our body shop. He told me they have a JIG that you can use to align it . But first you have to remove it and make sure the gaps are correct and the door is in the correct position. Once that is done he uses a little tool in the door lock to align the striker or should i say get it close. Then he adjusts from there. It takes a lot of experience to get everything right and working correctly. But with patience you can get it. He also has tools to bend the hinges to align them properly. That is beyond me . He sometimes puts a hammer head in the hinge and slowly closes the door to bend the hinges in the proper way. Just saying. I have tried it and was able to do it but it took me a lot of time. Jr does it in a couple of tries. Good luck

I'm sure the brackets need to be replaced or bent like you mentioned.
