So it's been a few years since I've pulled/ changed out a cd player in the mustang. But it was broken into for the 2nd or 3rd time and whoever did it only took my face plate. Anyway when I pulled out the deck out I remembered how messed up the wireing is from the first brake in, they cut my harness so I took it in and got everything hard wired and it's all messed up. My question is, the stock harness can that be taken out and put in an uncut harness, is it tied into another harness and not able to work that way. I would like it to look clean and not have a nightmare hacked up wiring harness. It's a 91 gt

You gotta change the dash harness at that point. I would just run all new clean wiring though so you don't have to deal with the headache

I went with the pigtails instead of changing the whole dash harness...
