Cat codes right and left. I guess you removed them and the O2 sensors set the cat efficiency codes. Have the rear O2 sensors tuned out.

If you don't have a tuner, grab two spark plug non-foulers from the parts store. Screw them in your pipe then the o2 in to them. The codes will go away. You only need to do this for the rear o2's.

Just curious how does that make the rear O2 see stored OXYGEN??? Personally i can not see how this would work. Because the O2 determines CAT efficiency by not seeing excessive oxygen telling the ECM the cats are storing it. Need more info on this??
For index-ratio and switch-ratio monitors, the converter is generally said to be degraded, if the rear-to-front switching ratio approaches about 70% So how does those extenders change then oxygen content it reads or does not read. I am very curious to how and why this would be. Thanks

The downstream O2 sensor monitors the gases coming out of the converter to make sure that the converter is doing its job. By moving the o2 out of the direct exhaust stream it will not read all the gasses that were not burned by the cat. It will only get a portion of it and not set off the code.
It worked for me, I ran my 97 Cobra this way and no CEL or Codes.
