On Aeromotive's website right now it says, "we take great pride in the fact that everything we sell, we design and make in the USA."
However I found this: http://thecounterfeitreport.com/product/542/Fuel-Regulators.html

I'd call Aeromotive

heres someone with a genuine aeromotive fpr and had similar issues, so its most likely a quality control problem with aeromotive, and not a knock off in your case, and the fact that you bought it from summit,

Mr Duncan i have used several different regulators in my career and have a BBK on my TC and mustang with no issues whatsoever. BUT we now use a Corvette fuel filter and single line system. We found that the single line system works much better and as i said we never had an issue with BBK regulators but it has been a while since we used them. The Corvette setup works great just saying. How much fuel pressure are you running. reason being the TC and standard Ford 351 truck regulator is a 1-1 positive regulator and i use them on turbo setups as well. Thanks Tom

I have some 94-95 rails with Kirban adjustable regulator that worked on my 94 I just parted out, if you want to give that a try.

i have kirban regulator with no problems. i was stuck on which to get because a lot of the top companies now get their stuff made in china it seems from all the online complaints i saw. so sometimes brands dont hold their rep like they used to. im sure you have better knowledge of these things then i do tho.

Just some advice. If you have a 4 cylinder SVO or turbo coupe whenever replacing the regulator the rail must be modified. I have seen many a fuel rail crack on these cars with a change to an aftermarket regulator, Here is my fix.
