I know we have a few audio guys in here!....89 f250 has a pioneer deck, two 10's. The other day the radio/cd/aux quit working! Everything still powers up I just have no music. But every so often even with the volume down there is a sound out the speakers that reminds me of a big rig going down hill with the jake brake on...... If anyone could give me a few ideas so I can narrow it down that would be great! Driving to work with no tunes isn't any fun.

are all the speakers ran through an amp? or off the deck?

If they are ran threw a amp it's your RCA wires or the output on the receiver.

The amp was so hot I could barely touch it.... Luckily I had a few other ones. Swapped one out and everything is working!
Thanks!
