Question guys. I have a auto tranny and was wondering what gears would be best to get. I currently have 3.27s and wanted either 3.55s or 3.73s. What do you guys think? Car is pretty much stock besides bbk cold air, bbk headers, bbk o/r h pipe, 2 chamber flows. I do alot of city and freeway driving as my mustang is my daily driver. Give me your opinion on which to get. Thanks guys!

going from 3.27s to 3.55 imo isn't even worth. u will probabley be disappointed in that. Id atleast go 3.73s, many ppl go 4.10s with aod cars. really depends what your goal is, but id def say don't do it just to get 3.55s. 3.27s in a aod car that's just a part time cruiser etc, are not a bad gear.

Yeah i was lookin that up and i think your right. I just dont want to be in the freeway and havin high rpms. But i think im leanin more toward 3.73s. I needa rebuild my rear end reguardless so i figure since its gonna be worked on why not throw gears in...

Agreed, go bigger than 3.55 I have 355s in my 5 speed and honestly wished I would have gone with 3.73 but oh well.

Also, make sure whoever does it knows wtf they are doing as this stuff is not just bolt in and go.
