Does anyone know what the lift is on a factory camshaft for a 1966 289 c code?

Not sure but if your looking for a cam, you'll be very happy with a comp 268h.

Flat tappet right? ND what lifters did you use? Solid or hydrologic?

lifters are matched to your cam. no stock factory cam came solid in those years or size motor.

You can purchase the lifters and cam as a package. You'll need to replace lifters with any cam change. Like Duncan said, they are matched sets. The only 289 I'm aware of that came with factory solid lifters is the hipo k code 289. As for your car, your going to have hydraulic. On the 268h (h stands for hydraulic).

A stock C code cam was 380 exh lift, 360 int lift and 244 exh and 266 int duration. Pretty small cam, but given all C code heads were press in studs, it's not surprising it's got such low lift specs.
