What if your comp/ecu goes bad in a 97 cobra.what about the pats/anti theft?shops need to have speacial equipment?dealer only thing?

There was an ad on here from a member on here saying he had the capabilities on programming pats, other wise i know ford qouted me 200 to program one key, for my 96

Thanks for your feedback,but my pats works.I think the comp/ecu is bad on my 97 cobra.is the dealer my only option?

The member said above should be able to reprogram your system once the replacement is in. If I remember correctly with another ecu the car should idle for 1min then shut off and the theft light would blink the whole time
